Sexual Harassment Committee (2022-23)

The Sexual Harassment Committee at West Guwahati College of Education is composed of faculty, staff, and students dedicated to addressing and preventing sexual harassment within the college community. The committee investigates allegations, supports victims, and implements policies to maintain a safe and respectful environment.

Composition of the Committee

Objectives

1. To educate the college community about what constitutes sexual harassment and how to prevent it.
2. To increase awareness about reporting procedures and available resources for victims.
3. To conduct fair and impartial investigations into reports of sexual harassment.
4. To provide support and resources to individuals who have experienced sexual harassment.
5. To offer training sessions for faculty, staff, and students on preventing and responding to sexual harassment.

Minutes of Sexual Harassment Committee Meeting (11-08-2023)

The meeting began at 2:30 pm with discussions on handling complaints under the committee. It was decided to call complainants individually for confidential discussions. Additionally, the committee agreed to send teaching staff members to participate in an awareness workshop on sexual harassment. The meeting concluded at 3:30 pm.

Minutes of Sexual Harassment Committee Meeting (15-02-2024)

A meeting was held on 15-02-2024 in the college meeting room from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. The resolutions discussed were as follows:

2. To address ongoing issues, propose solutions, and take necessary actions.
3. To explore ways to raise awareness and sensitize the local community.
